Of course it never rains here on the beautiful Sunshine Coast (but we do get very heavy dew at times).
248mm in the gauge this morning, 200 of that in 12 hours. And it's not over yet.
We had to read early before the gauge overflowed. Perhaps we should have two gauges?:)

These last two summers are the type I remember as a kid. Just part of a cycle I guess.

The other half left Melbourne yesterday to stay with the folks for 2 weeks in Tweed. I'm trying hard not to laugh when she calls.

For those of you who saw my typo in the above response (which I have since corrected), my sincere apologies. Whose laughing now? hehe

Ughh... Chook run flooded and washed 2 inches of smelly water through the workshop... Fortunately tools are all off the ground, and the decent timber is up high, but the whole place smells of chook crap.
Guess what I'll be doing on Australia Day?

Hmmm ... remember these chooks have now been paddling in chook crap for two days.. they certainly don't look very appealing, and a fresh laid egg is the perfect breakfast - guilt free too.
