Heat mark on Elm Table

We have a 'whitish' mark on our new Elm table may have beeen the heat/steam from pizza boxes though the table cloth ? not sure what else it could be. Any idea's on removal please ?

I have the same thing on a pine table from a pizza box. I was going the start the same thread but I will see what everyone has to say about yours.

Dont try and buy this from Carb-tec in Ringwood as they do not sell this product and never have.

They have also moved to ringwood. The Richmond store is no more, as I found out this morning.

The product arrived tonight and we followed the instructions on the bottle - to no avail! Doh! Any other tips ?

The product did get rid if the cup mark that was on the highly polished fire surround though.....

we used to pour a little metho on the spot and light it. it wont burn the table as it is only the fumes that burn ,causing the moisture trapped in the top to evaporate.........

What was the table finished with do you know?

Your repair strategy needs to be matched to the finish.

Ive tried the meths treatment on rosewood a couple of times with varying degrees of success. Tip, only let the meths flame for a second and blow it out and repeat 2-3 times if necessary.
