Hi all,
I've just been going through the forum and happened upon the section on reputation (http://www.woodworkforums.com/faq.php?faq=new_faq_item#faq_rep_9). I always wondered what the coloured dot next to your name meant. Unfortunately I've discovered I have a red dot next to my username, which means someone had given me negative points for something I had done. At the bottom of my User CP I can only see one positive feedback. Therefore I'm feeling a little miffed and somewhat disappointed that I use these forums with a negative reputation.
To me, if you've done something wrong by someone, you should be able have the right to be able to rectify what you've done wrong, and make amends by apologising to the person who you've offended. At this stage I don't know what I've done wrong and to whom. I know I can sometimes be forthright with my opinions so I'm now going to take this opportunity to apologise for whatever I've done. This apology comes unreserved and without condition because this forum has been an invaluable resource for me and there appears to be many fantastic and talented people roaming these forums.
Saying this, giving someone a slap on the wrist (or whatever it maybe) under complete anonymity is somewhat disingenuous to what is trying to be achieved. I sincerely hope this post can change this.
Thanks for reading - Scott Taylor.
