Good Evening Friends,
I still like your sense of humor, but the answers you fellows gave are not quite right.
So here we go;
1. Buy smart, then acclimate your project stock.
2. Plan joints to avoid stress.
3. Allow tops to move freely.
4. Use sliding dovetails to grip moldings.

The last one is one that I don't recall ever using myself and my moldings have never had any ill effects that I know of.
