I was a bit hard on you the other day so I apologise, most manufacturing in Australia used to be done in Victoria. But its now one of Australias biggest growing cottage industries somthing that may help you would be if is you can is do some cabinent making units through Tafe. I know this isnt much help but its what helped me get my trade

I am a heavy duty fitter I did my trade for a gold mining company in WA. An other good place to try for appernticships is either your local chamber of commerce and industries. Or their head offices in Brisbane ,Sydney,Melb,Adelade Perth and Darwin. Plus all the group training companys running around. Having said that there are quite a few post but I cant rember who 's that are cabinent Makers it may be worth PMing them directly
