Hello there,
My first step into posting.
Your website is amazing and I am learning so much with so much to learn.
My first tentative steps into woodwork were not to flash. After I sawed one small timber post crookedly I looked at the wood, turned to my husband and said "I'll never be able to do this". He smiled sweetly and pointed to his watch and said "eleven minutes does not make a carpenter". That set us laughing for the day.
So in the last few months he has been helping me set up and understand, and buy a mitre saw! Also helped me construct my first pieces, a step for my mother in law (she had a broken hip and needed help) and some children's toys.
Then we went to the woodwork show (thanks for the discount entry fee folks) and boy that was a revelation and a half. I was even more hooked. Trouble was we almost walked past a CNC - the Shark Pro Plus.
So now we have ditched the reno plans for the backyard deck and instead bought the CNC, and really started to plan. Hopefully my patient teacher will continue to teach me. The project list is getting ever bigger.
This is one young grandmother that has no intention of knitting the young one any booties! :q
Looking forward to participating in the posting.
Cheers
