I'm making a display cabinet using Jarrah.
Unfortunately the base frame has a different tonal colour (it looks pinker), to the the rest of the cabinet. See photo.
I would like to finish the cabinet with Danish Oil.
Is there a way of darkening the tonal colour of the base frame so that it matches the rest of the cabinet more closely?

Yes, you can tone down your pink (red color ) with the green color stain. (EDIT: Link removed by moderator.)
But you must do carefully. You better to apply your stain with spray gun. By the spray gun you can easily control your staining result.

After you get the right color then you can apply your oil

Thanks

Good luck

Thanks Wisno
I have a spare piece of 'pink' Jarrah to experiment on. I'll see what green stain will do.
