Edit: I just did a quick search and all of TL's posts are coming up like that for me I checked my settings but i can't see anything different.

Fred, did you resize the photos before uploading or did you rely on the forum to do that for you. How big are they (in Mb)?

Is there any chance you could try uploading the files to this thread? I've updated a setting on the server that 'may' help you avoid the token error.

I don't have either of them on ignore or any settings different. Could it be something in their sigs that is causing this? Have i inadvertantly turned something off/on? Help :C

It is definitely a problem at your end more likely than not it's Internet Explorer. Get rid of IE for a bit and try Firefox, free download here: Mozilla | Firefox web browser & Thunderbird email client (http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/). You'll wish you did it years ago.

This seems to be a problem when there is a URL in the sig, you are not the only one having the problem.

I just had another play with it... permission to put a URL in your sig has been turned off.
If you already have a sig with a URL you can't edit it & save it until you remove the URL.
If you want to add a URL to your sig, it won't let you.
You will get a message that says "BB code url is not allowed."
I have had a couple of people ask me how I got a URL in my sig, the answer is that it was put there before the permission was removed.

Is this problem only from your home computer and iPhone?
Are they both with the same service provider?
Sounds like they are trying to pick up the old server so maybe there's a DNS cache problem. These should have cleared world wide a few days at most after the server change over but who knows.
Try flushing the DNS in the computer and if this works have a go at the iPhone.
How to Flush DNS in Microsoft Windows
In Microsoft Windows, you can use the command ipconfig /flushdns to flush the DNS resolver cache. Open the command prompt and type the following:
C:>ipconfig /flushdns
Windows IP Configuration
Successfully flushed the DNS Resolver Cache.
The above command will completely flush the DNS, deleting any incorrect entries too. You can also use the command ipconfig /displaydns to view the DNS resolver cache.
Flush DNS in Mac OSX
In Mac OSX Leopard, you can use the command dscacheutil -flushcache to flush the DNS resolver cache:
bash-2.05a$ dscacheutil -flushcache
In Mac OSX versions 10.5.1 and before, the command lookupd -flushcache performed the same task:
bash-2.05a$ lookupd -flushcache
iPhone - How to Flush DNS
Step 1 - Turn iPhone off and turn it on again. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on top of iPhone for a few seconds until a red slider appears, and then slide the slider. Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Step 2 - Reload your iPhone Safari page.
If this doesn't work please post back in here and we'll see what else can be done.

Just had the weirdest thing happen when I tried to type a reply in to the forum in two threads this being one. My keys no matter where I typed were incorrect. Yes I was hitting the right keys. Yes I checked another program or two they were fine. I had to close down Firefox and restart clearing the cache was not enough as was signing out.
Working fine now.

Hi Neil. My PC and iPhone are on different accounts. On the iPhone I am using the Tapatalk program which says forums are "native" to it. When it works it's great. check up on things at work and all. Here is the most common message I get, even after clearing both dns's.
"This webpage is not available
The webpage at http://www.woodworkforums.com/newreply.php?do=newreply&p=1284284 might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.
Error 324 (net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE): Unknown error"
It happens quite regularly on the PC and the iPhone says "permission Error, Security error, you may not have permission to access". that's most of the time, I reload about 3 times b4 it gets anywhere.
Cheers Darren

Yep thanks, server load spiked for a currently unknown reason. We have the forum software set to basically switch the site off once the server load exceeds a certain value. While it's annoying, it essentially gives the server a chance to catch up on the tasks and recover....much better than the alternative of being overwhelmed and crashing.
Considering the crash a few nights ago, and visible load spikes last night and tonight, there is obviously something going on that needs fixing. :)

I got a server too busy message when attempting to reload my boat thread on the Storer forum a few minutes ago (circa 10 pm, 9 Mar '11). Seems to have cleared up now though, and this thread loaded from scratch just fine. And I have been finding the forum appallingly slow on the odd occassions in the evening as well, but have put that down to overloading on Optus' local cable feed (it's highly congestion-sensitive).
Cheers,
Alex.

Quick brief rundown.
For Windows user: Click on PRTSC (PRT SC) button > Start > All Programs > Accessories > Paint > Paste or CTRL V > Save to > Your file name (For size and basic ease it ip probably best to save the file as either a .gif or .jpg) > Once saved you can use it as an attachment, email it or generally do whatever you would do with any graphic.
When in paint you can crop the screen capture to show only the section you want shown, resize and a whole lot more. If you haven't used paint before play with it and have some fun. If you muck it up, click on New do CTRL V thing again and dadah it will be there again so long as you haven't copied anything else.
For Mac users: Sorry - No idea, but there will be something very similar.
Cheers :U
To print screen Mac users should hit Shift + Command + 3 to do a full screenshot or Shift + Command + 4 then select area to do a partial screenshot.
Macs are better :D

Seems to get very slow in the evening... At peak time I guess.... Server need a reboot?
We're just tweaking the cache and mysql settings and seeing if things improve. I haven't been able to trace whats causing the load, nothing is logged, no heavy duty jobs run around this time.
It could simply be the traffic influx, its clearly the busiest time of the day.
Server load is currently 0.12 the server busy message doesn't display until load is above 10.

Damn slow here tonight, I find the speed varies a bit (between slow and painful and I am on ADSL2) one thing I have found is that when you want to use inverted commas it doesn't put them up and will often put the first one at the point where you are closing the "Quote"" just like there I had to hit it twice and then had 2 of them at the close end. I have also found that some of what I type doesn't come up, and I am not a fast typist, and often have to go back and type in what is missing which is when it seems to also miss things out just like the inverted comma thing. oh and just discovered my emoticons don't want to work!

Long way between Minbun & Mackay... about the same distance as Tooradin to Canberra. :)I thought that maybe you only had one serving all of FNQ. :whistling2: :D

Service not brilliant up here, sticky getting to post or failure sometimes last couple of days. (and today)

Mackay isn't in FNQ, it isn't even in NQ, it is in CQ.

I have had 2 days this week where every thing went ok the rest of the time it has been very slow and does not display any forum sponsor's, new posts or reply buttons or the submit button or the manage attachment buttons.Click on forum tools and it jump to a new page. I thought it may have been my computer but have checked other web sites and they all display every thing OK.

Had this problem earlier this week and it's happened again. I can't read the initial post under the thread, QUEENSLAND Dust extractor, mitre saws, and more... :?
All I can see is quick reply, but I can't even type anything in there. so far, well last I tried 130 people had looked at the thread - they've either had no problem, or like my might be confused.
