Hi Folks,

Me is a woodworking Noobie - bordering on numpty I fear - but have done a local course and have been setting up a workshop in Garage- learning slowly - porobably never been any good at it all - but I enjoy it as it is a real change from day job as a computer geek.

Currently making a toolchest and few other bits as learning exercise

cheers

James

Welcome to the forum. Good to see that you have a good approach to wood working learning as you go. :2tsup:

Good work James.

I'm a new chum and working in IT too. I don't know how you see it, but I find the hardest thing is to slow down because there is not much of an 'edit' capability.

Hi Lum,

Yeah I know what you mean the rate of change is pretty much to the firewall all the time. I am so far finding woodworking a almost automatic off switch to the concerns of the work world

G'Day James,
Welcome to a world of relaxing pleasure.
You're right about the switch off when you enter the woodshop.
But the best part is seeing what you've created with your own hands.
Enjoy your woodwork
and you'll find a stack of very helpful ladies & blokes on the forum.
Cheers, Crowie
