View Full Version : I got into so much trouble

We recently replaced the toilet suites in our place, they have those slow closing lids, one of the lids started to slam down real fast (just like a dunny lid) I rang the manufacturer and they sent a new set of hinges for me to fit. I thought about how to do the job and so I wouldn't drop any tools into the bowl and potentially chip the porcelain I stretched Glad Wrap across the porcelain. The only thing I did wrong is after testing how the seat closed I packed up and forgot to remove the Glad Wrap. My mother in-law visited later in the day and as she usually does made a bee line straight to the dunny... I got into so much trouble, I think it was for roiling around the floor laughing my ass off. Has any one else done something stupid like this? :?

That was standard practice in college days at uni. Epsom salts in the hot water used for making tea and coffee made for some good laughs.

We use to get a stilson wrench and rotate the pipes across the top of the urinals 90 degrees, always tell those that needed a bit of encouragement to start. :D
