Hi Guys,

Best wishes for the New Year.

I am building an Electric Guitar which has Tassie Blackwood top and back and Qld maple body.

I was going to use U BEUT Hard Shelac on it ,but I dont want a glossy finish..

Any suggestions on what I should use that would keep it smooth but natural.

Thanks

Greg

You have a very good wood.
I agree with you that the natural finish will give you good looked.
You can get natural finish with the application of clear coat without any stain.
There are many type clear coating you can use, but i think the polyurethane is the best for you guitar. It is durable, strong and high resistance.
It is also available in many sheen that you can choose.
