Nope the Pommies are just too good this time ,looked like we had their measure then up springs another bowler to knock the Aussies off I can see another 500 plus 1st innings coming up.Trouble is the Aussies are too slow at scoring Hussey especially, they are scoring off every ball usually twos, sometimes threes we can only stand there and block all b....dy day.:oo:

I recon that Ricky Ponting should have NOT played, a fractured finger is clearly a distraction, not only for himself but for the team as well.
We all should have known that this day would come when the great aus team falls on it's face. All the good players retire and there is noone blooded to take over. It happened to the westindies, england and all the other teams over time and now it's happening to us now again. :rip::sayitaintso:

There a few years back we were so strong that we could field two full strenght teams with confidence, but it seams that grade and state cricket hasn't been able to produce the players that are great straight out of the box. :whatonearth:

We may have to wait a few years for all these younger players to mature a little before we see good times again.:cry3::fit::banghead:

Give them a few more days. Would have said four but I doubt it will last that long.
Commentator this morning said, perhaps someone will dig the pitch up.
cheers,
Jim

Ponting should have retired 15 months ago.
Clark is not a captains ring.
Smith is not a test number 6, doubt he is a number 8 His technique is pathetic.
Johnson, what ever he is on is either too strong or not strong enough.

Time for some fresh blood,

Ron

Sack Hilditch replace him with Chappell

Sack the person responsible for re-signing Tim Nelson last week for a further 2 years.

Sack Tim Nelson and replace him with the countries best cricket brain Shane Warne.

Sack Jamie Cox and get Merv back

Sack the flat track bully Hughes and replace him with Shaun Marsh

Sack Hilfenhouse and replace him with Clint McKay

Move Mr Cricket up to 3 as he is still in good form, but soon as that drops off replace him with Khawaja

Clark on borrowed time.

Relieve Ponting of Captaincy, and drop him to 5 or 6, just like Border, Lara and Tendulka when they turned 36.

Bring in Cam White at 5 or 6 and make him Captain (replacing Smith at 6 who is still years away)

Look to the future and replace Haddon with Wade.

Blood Beer

Offer Mitch Marsh and Alex Keith contracts and get them in the system quick as they are the two best young talents in world cricket.

Demand the team harden the f up and stop being individual nancy boys.

Poach Saker back, even if he has to break his current contract. He is a gun coach.

And finally, when we go on tour in future, just like the poms this time, ban the WAGS.

Keep the team the way it is...that way the Kiwis might finally beat them :D

That's not very sporting of you Kiwigeo!

It's like watching a bunch of retirees playing at the moment.:p

Put them all on performance based pays and bring in some of the younger players, that will have ago, instead of this idiotic blocking tactic that they are using of late.:anoyd::smack:

I think the contract system is part of the trouble. It seems to make them stick with whoever has a contract and not look at whoever is in form.

It's hard to watch at the moment, but there is a clear cycle effect and unfortunately the Poms are peaking and we are troughing.:C

Looks like we're in for a few tough years.
