blinds

Hi everyone. I'm ready to put blinds in 9 windows in my house. I need a wood look finish but keep getting different information about cedar, basswood and woodlike timber venetian blinds. I want blinds that will last the distance, easy maintenance (ie just general dusting/ cleaning) and suit large windows although i am happy to split the blinds. Any ideas, opinions would be appreciated. Thank you
