Hi,
I have just finished my decking on the weekend using beautiful 135mm blackbutt. My mate who is a carpenter now told me that he always lets the deck "weather" as in get some rain and sun and weather, before sanding and oiling. Is that true for blackbutt or should I protect it from water until it's oiled? Also, can anyone recommend a good oil for that sort of timber, I am living close to the ocean.
cheers
