I have a pair of vintage 50s aluminium flywire doors that reside with our french doors over the balcony.
I'm looking at avenues of converting the french doors into sliding as well as the flywire doors.
However... easily done with timber but I am not sure with aluminium.
Does anyone know or has converted aluminium flyscreen doors into sliding doors? One would be fixed, the other would be sliding.
Would it perhaps be just a case of purchasing runners and wheels and pop-riveting those to the top/bottom aluminium frame?
Any ideas / suggestions, would it be expensive to do namely the parts??
(ps - the flywire doors were a bargain for $1.00 - i've spent more in appropriate paint tho LOL!)
Thanks
