I did a bit of a search around and came across conflicting opinions on whether to spray or wipe on with a wool pad. Reason I ask is I am looking to finish a large area, 2000x1850, and I would like to find some examples.

The area I am doing is a timber tray I have made for a Falcon ute. I've used Tassie Oak and from what I've read the Wattyl 7008 would be a good way to build a high gloss that is very durable.

If anyone has any images of their experiences with this product, it would be much appreciated.

Cheers, Ash

If you have spray gear - spray it! otherwise brush or mop. It is a very durable finish. Just don't thin it past their recommendations (30%) - trust me on that one.

I ended up speaking to Wattyl last week and they said not to use it. Their reason being as it is not an exterior finish and will not stand up to any sun light.

They suggested a single pack exterior clear instead. I have some Feast Watson left over over from a job so I'll use that instead.

I'm a bit disappointed as I wanted something harder. But better that then being UV effected.
