1) it fitted so well with previous one and
2) the idea of a sausage dog doing that damage.

Trying to pull her out of the throat of a mastiff X Great Dane as big as an elephant, by her lead was a bit like shark fishing.
That was $1000 worth of veterinary work you were looking at.
