What's with the green words scattered about the forum with the double underlines that lead to a pop up for advertising or whatever it is????

any chance you could give us a screen dump of it...we can't see anything here Pete.

That'll be some 'adware' infesting your computer.

My solution - modify your computers hosts file so that ad servers disappear forever:

There is nothing like that on these forums. As Master Splinter said it will be adware or some other infestation on your computer. The only ads for registered members are the Google ads near the top of the page in threads. Even these may disappear with new update that's coming soon.

There should be a law against Farmtown, Facebook etc. Our PC has the same ad bug compliments of Farmtown and one of the billy lids used the laptop to look at Facebook and now the damned Zynga toolbar is permanently at the top of the page when on the net and I can't delete it.:((

Distructive recoveries coming up for both units.

Damn computers are good while they are working, but a pain in my acre when they play up.

The PrintScreen button on your keyboard places a screen image on the "clipboard." Open MSPaint, or equivalent, and Edit/Paste from the clipboard to the working space; manipulate as needed. **

SaveAs, *.bmp and/or *.jpg, with a title and location you can remember, or jot down the info on a scrap of paper.

UpLoad as usual with any other attachment.

** There's probably a similar feature available for Mac's.

Cheers,
Joe

Sure is Joe.
Being a Mac user I couldn't advise how to do it on a Windows machine.
For a Mac.
Command Shift 4 allows you to capture what you want of a screen, and saves it to the desktop as a .png file which is instantly attachable.

In the last couple of times logging on they haven't been there, I didn't do anything to remove them, maybe AVG (anti virus) got rid of it, I'll keep an eye out for it tho.
Thanks for the assistance,

Pete
