Help with security door

I have a 2 hinged security door that is binding slightly in the middle of the opposite jamb. I recessed the hinges slightly and then I put one screw in each of the hinges and the door worked fine. Then when I put the other screws in, it started to bind slightly again. I can't understand how putting the other screws in would make the door bind again. Any ideas why this is happening?
