I am thinking of taking a shopping jeep so I don't have to lug all the booty I get around. Are there any better suggestions than a jeep?

Why not just lease the building for the next year and set up your workshop there?

Would save all the transport dilemmas.

Trouble is if I do that I won't have an extension lead long enough to reach the new shed from home

not so convenient for holding your stuff while you're walking round the show but I'm planning on taking a collapsible suitcase trolley and several octupus bungees and a small plastic tarp.

These weigh very little but at the end of it all you can wrap your booty in the tarp and bungy it to the trolley for the tram journey home.

You may find some stall holders prepared to hold onto whatever you've bought from them and then you can collect it on the way out. There is a minor risk that the item will go missing but this has never happened to me at various shows and events where I've done this.

Last year, I found after buying a few big things things at one place, that you can take your purchases out the back. There is a tent where they tag the items and when your ready to leave, you either go back and carry them out or drive around and pick them up.

Worked a treat. Saved carrying that dust extractor around under my arm :)

If you leave your goodies with the stand holders make sure you give them a name , address & phone number. We had a couple left over last year, and with all the talking and buying and senioritis some things get forgotten.
If we have those details we can call you and arrange for you to pick up later or post .

Ok, My name is Allan Russell and I live in Whittlesea.

I come in many shapes and forms, if I leave anything at your stand this year I wont be too hard for you to track down.

Cheers, Al :D

Last year I saw lots of large slabs of timber for sale from Tassie etc. How the hell do you get them home? I can't see where you could hook up a trailer and park underneath.

You can deliver and pick up equipment/goods on the South side of the Exhibition Centre where the people with stands deliver their stuff.

I am sure the exhibitionists :D would be able to tell you. You might even be able to get assistance to load heavy things with a fork lift.
