im sanding a tree stump just wondering is there any specialty sanders i might not know about that would be better than elbo grease cheers,,,,

I find a small angle grinder with one of those rubber backed sanding discs as good as any tool for free hand shaping. Just work through the grades of abrasive, from 40P or 60P to 80 then 120.

Sounds like a project made for flap sanding.

i did one similar to youres some years ago and theres a post on it on carving ,page 5 in a thread called carvers gallery . tools i used were arbo carver ,mini arbo, dye grinder with typhoon bits from carbatec and for sanding ive got a kirjes sanding system which is small inflatable drums with sanding sleeves fitted ,its now one one of the most used tools im the shed .good luck and keep us posted with some pics
