Ern,
I've just got hold of some stuff called Reducteur for loosening screws corroded into metal. The blurb says spray on, leave for 30 seconds and then remove the screw/bolt.
I was trying to remove the fixing bolts in an old Hills Hoist, must be at least 50 years old!
I had tried WD40, heat etc, the hex flats were all rounded over from the spanner and still nothing moved. A spray with the stuff, and, sure enough, the bolts unscrewed with a vicegrip clamped on the head!
Cheers
Graeme

Sounds really worthwhile

- what's in it?

- where do you get it from?

- does it have a shelf life?

- how much?

Thanks in advance,
Bob

You can get it from Blackwoods. Check this list (http://www2.blackwoods.com.au/LocationsList.aspx?state=QLD) for your nearest outlet

I see you can get it in 25 litre drums. Enough for the biggest of rust collections:U

Some Bunnys have it at about $20 a spraycan (all you'll need for a lifetime). It's in the tool dept. on the same shelf as WD40.

Yep - picked up a can [300g] from the big green box - and, as was stated above it is beside the WD40.

For those chasing the same - I hope your green box is a little more generous than our new [1 and only] green box is here as it sells for $29.90 a can.

It does state on the can that it has unlimited shelf life so unless it loses its propellant it should be fine.
