Finish for a maple strat neck

I am busy making a partsocaster and is stuck on what finish to use on my maple neck. I am looking for something close to nitrocellulose lacquer but dont know where to buy it. If anyone know of other finshes that i can use please tell.

Oh i also want to give the neck that vintage amber look.
