Hi
As a saviour of the planet and a collector of all things thrown out that are of use and much to my wife's displeasure I just happened to drive past a teak outdoor table with folding insert on the side of the road waiting for the local council clean up.

Surprisingly it is in excellent condition, however it needs stripping back, a little sanding and some loving care.

Can any one suggest the best method to clean back the existing coating, appears to be a teak oil, and what could be used to restore the table back to near original condition.

Many thanks for your replies, very much appreciated

Have a good one.

For those who may have been asking a similar question here is what I found

A friend gave me some DEC DOC wood cleaner powder that I mixed 1 cup per 5 l of water
This was applied and the wood rubbed with a kitchen scourer. Left for 20 minutes and washed off with water.
The result was amazing - like new.
NOW to find what to use for protection

Any suggestions
