My husband has custom made kitchen cabinet doors out of MDF. :2tsup:
We are going to be applying 2 pac paint finish. A friend from work is a spraypainter and I have a booth all lined up. He is not used to working with timber as he has only done cars before. He purchased product from car paint place but am not sure on the primer that they have given us. Looks like it is normal grey automotive primer. (Duxone HS Primer Kit) We were thinking that we could get away with using the undercoat/primer as the internal door finish, but it would have to be white. We are doing door fronts in a Gloss White. Does anyone have any suggestions on undercoat or primer? Or is this the way to go? Obviously spraying the interior door in the 2 pac finish will give all over coverage but may be more costly?
