Subscribed Threads

Not sure whats happened but I just went to find a couple of subscribed threads in my area and :no: they are not there.......and some.

Looks like the hatchman has used his big sickle :U

One thread I was after (I found another way) was RayG's post on the Swiss BS blade the big mother.

I couldn't locate that in my list and noticed a few others gone.

Yes I have unsubscribed from some recently but they aren't the missing ones.

I can if I recall who posted in the thread do the same as I did for Ray look through their posts.

I noticed this happened after Neils backroom playing.

Had a look at my subscription list, all appear to be there.

Maybe you deleted the wrong ones?

:no: I only unsubscribed to ones that I get emails for unless I go in specifically and i have not done that for a while.

Neils back-room playing had nothing whatsoever to do with subscriptions.

Look in your own back yard first. If they're missing then it's most likely they've been inadvertently deleted by you. What we think we do or what we intended to do, isn't always what gets done.

Below is a scenario of what can and often does happen - Not saying this happened to you, but it certainly has happened before and on more than one occasion.

You tick box (A) and then forget about it because you get sidetracked, you mean to come back and untick it but forget.... then a few hours/days later you ticked box (D) because you meant to tick that one originally...... Then you click on delete. Oops, you just deleted (A) and (D)..... Easily done and you aren't aware of it till you go looking for (A) some weeks later, and come to the inevitable conclusion that someone (most likely a mod or admin and not you) has been messing with your stuff.

Wouldn't have been touched unless it was unsavoury, unnecessary or or spam. Nothing is removed from these forums unless there's an extremely good reason for it.

Thanks Neil for the input but none of your suggested scenarios are what I did.
No major problem as long as I recall who posted in them or even doing a search under my name may give the desired result.
