I know this is a very basic question but my carpentry skills are close to zero.
We need a new front door and to maximise the amount of light in our front room we want a door with lots of glass.
I have in my possession a rather large piece of toughened glass from a coffee table.
It is 600 * 1200 * 10mm round cornered beveled edge and would cost about $350- I was quoted by the local glass bloke.
I figure a door is fairly easy to make, just 2 styles and 3 rails with a plywood skin on each side, but how difficult is it to make a door frame to take this size glass??
Second part of the query; is this too much glass for a front door as far as total swinging mass is concerned??
We had it on Ebay but got no bids and I hate to throw something this strong away
