I'd just like to say, this is one of the best forums around. Not just the excellent info, general good spirit of the members and great subject matter (of course), but it's so brilliantly maintained with so many good options. Very well designed - and don't mean visually, but at it's core usability. I often think ..wouldn't it be good if you could... oh, you can.
Without mentioning names, there are other (non wood) forums around that you can be scared of asking a question - and I will only do so if desperate. It comes back to the nature of good eggs who lurk here. The scary forums I can think of have developed a core of self-styled moderators, who admonish people as if they were children who have broken there own little set of rules and ideas. It's even scarier to try to help someone by answering a question than asking one. Lest you step on the toes of the only people qualified-allowed-ordained (they think) to answer.
Searching, I have found answers to things here that only come from experience, but sometimes that experience was had by a relative amateur, who was free to answer without being shot down. Then there are the die hards who's experience you couldn't buy and would equate to a triple masters uni degree in knowledge and yet there they are helping others for nothing.
So cheers and hip hip to ya's all. :2tsup:
