For the last couple of years I've had the ferals from hell living next door. Two and a half years of hell with constant screaming of obscenities fights, drunken parties, constant appearances by the local constabulary and 2 years of no rubbish collections. About September last year after many complaints from neighbours the council dropped off a 10 metre skip so they could get rid of the rubbish piled up in the back yard. Last week another skip (5 mtr) turned up and was filled with more rubbish including an old fridge, clothes dryer, couch and two chairs. Today when I got home from work the curtains (bed sheets actually) were down and a lot of scrubbing was going on. Apparently they have had their mortgage on hold for over a year and the bank has had enough and ordered them to clean the place up and sell it :hpydans: :ohyaaa: :hpydans: :ohyaaa: :hpydans: :ohyaaa:. Morgage on hold? How does that work? Do you plead extenuating circumstances? :hmm:
(Hope that next neighbours are a step up.:D )

I think you can plead hardship/opt for interest only, there are quite a few options if you are genuinely struggling with your mortgage. Banks generally don't like to foreclose on a mortgage unless there is no other option.
(Hope that next neighbours are a step up.:D )
Everything's up when your'e in the gutter.
The last two years have been hell, don't want to live next to the ferals, can't sell the place because of them. Now that I've heard they're being kicked out it's like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders, SWMBO is also very happy.

Apparently they're moving to his mums place, must be karma :p. I'll try and find out where the mum lives and give youse a heads up. These people remind me of about half a dozen redneck jokes.
You know you're a redneck when your wallet and your dog are on a chain.
.....................................when you and the dog use the tree on the corner as a toilet.
.....................................when your two year old has more teeth than you.
.....................................when you walk your eight year old to school because your both in the same grade.
And one especially for them.
......................................when you use the bedroom window the enter the house because the front door's been kicked in so many times it doesn't work any more (true story).

Not meaning to rub it in but my good neighbours are in fact really great.
We pitch in and help as necessary, have a cool drink when it gets hot and a warm one when it gets cold - nothing regular, just happens from time to time. When they/we need to go away they/we keep an eye on the other's place.
I hope that your newies are similar - it sounds like you could do with it.
Regards,
Bob

Good to hear that your neighborhood is on the up GJ!
Approx 60% of homes in our street are rental properties, however that said our next door neighbours have been entertaining if nothing else and they "own" their home??
Attempted suicides x 3, Police raids x 2, numerous other police and local council attendances. At one time 8 dogs and the requisite car bodies all added to the vista to say nothing of the residents themselves.
A lot can be said for 2 metre high fences, but still have to clean up their beer cans occassionally.
That's life in the burbs:C:C GET ME OUTA HERE!!!

I'm with Bob here, we seem to have lucked out with good (but a bit odd) neighbours.
once a month the whole street (6 houses) go out to a local restaraunt or pub for a feed and a drink. :2tsup:
The only problems that arise are with the elderly couple in no.5 who always want to party on when the rest of us want to go home

That's excellent news. I have been lucky with my current neighbours, but have been less lucky in the past. Hope the new lot are better :2tsup:

Actally I think that you plead insanity. As in the bank was insane ot loan you the money in the first place.

3 months on and the plastic bag collection is growing, there's now an old fridge in the back yard. How considerate, a dry place for the rats to sleep in.

What happened you initially said the bank wanted the place cleaned and sold..
You do realise it is asking for serious catastrophe if you a talk too soon on an issue.
Skew ChiDAMN!!
27th June 2010, 02:17 AM
Heh. The Bank can order them to sell, but it can't force any customers to buy.
And if the outside looks like that, can you imagine what damage has been done inside the place?
Some things you just can't hide by judicious use of a skip. DAMHIKT. :B

Woohoo it's (http://www.sandhurstresidential.com/index.cfm?pagecall=property&propertyID=1416394) finally on the market. This real estate agent is the best spin doctor I've ever seen, he should work for Tony Abbot.

I think it looks ok. After all it is a house that is being purchased.
Here is what you do. When the open house starts go out and turn on the most noisy machine that you have. Leave it on for the whole time that the inspection is on. Should not concern you as you will have your hearing protection on. :q
Then get someone that you know who wants a house to make an offer. During their talk with the agent at the house go ahead and turn on all the machines that you have. :rotfl:
Could just get a bargain.

Could be problems at this time of the year. What if an ousted politician wants to buy it:D

I think Latham, Tanner and Rudd are already settled. McKew might be looking but she's in sin city.
Prob Fielding will be gone in 11 months but may only hold prayer meetings. I'm sure GJ would love to join in ;-}

If I had the money I'd buy it, I just hope it doesn't become a rental property.
