G'day ya all, I have been following this WWF for some years and what a great bunch of guys with good stuff it is.

I am a menber of the local Men's Shed and we are moving to a new bigger shed in the very near future and have a problem.
We are going to locate our noisey machines in a seperate room and we need to control the noise with some sort of sound absorbion material on the inside walls, Can anyone give ideas what we can line the walls and ceiling with that won't cost a heep of money. We can insulate to reduce the noise coming out but wish to stop the noise from bouncing around inside Any help with ideas will be greatly appreciated

I am sure that you will get a better answer then one that I can give as my thoughts would be to insulate with some sort of absorbent material.

Carpet. You might find a Carpet-layer or carpet shop with lots of used stuff to get rid of.

How big is the room? One idea for noise reduction, specifically to stop sound bouncing around in the room is to have moveable screens (@ 1.5X1.5m) covered in carpet and place a few in the room next to the noisier machines.
