Hi,
I am considering buying a second hand western red cedar window.

The window's overall frame is 2130 W x 1450 H. It has 6 panes, as in the picture:

http://i.ebayimg.com/06/%21Bijic-%21%21mk%7E$%28KGrHqUOKkUEsOSw5+FDBLPo,pg%28Cg%7E%7E_12.JPG

The overall frame thickness is 140mm and the frame of the two opening windows on the sides measures 35mm (20mm plus 15mm rebates) thick.

The timber is in fairly good condition.

My question is how well will the timber structure withstand double glazing (if I ordered double glazed panes), and how difficult will it be to increase the rebates, particularly of course of the openable windows.

Would apperciate opinions?

thanks very much
