Wife and I went to the pub on New Year's eve with another
couple. Wives played the pokies without losing - the mate
and I sat watching the TV.
The announcer at the bar said they were having some trivia
questions - easy, not too hard, and hard. Get the question
right and win an appropriate prize for the degree of difficulty.
My wife nagged at me until I gave in and went to the bar and I
suggested I would try the "not too hard" category.
My question was "Who was the American evangelist who
visited Australia some years ago and attracted a record crowd
to the Melbourne Cricket Ground?"
I answered, "Bill Graham" which was correct.
When told that I had won a drink of any type I said, "Well,
I am not a drinker, so could I have a small bottle of Dry
Ginger Ale".
The bar manager replied, "Oh we can do better than that", and
gave me a $25.00 meal voucher for use within 6 months.
Made my night.:2tsup:

Ripper, for 'Not too hard' - I wonder what the prize might have been for the hard classification. Congrats.

Just read my original post on this ... I meant to type "Billy" Graham
rather than "Bill".

By typing "Bill" you probably thought I am a special mate to him Ray
... sorry to disappoint you.:D
