Hi all
I've been nosing around here for a while and finally registered.
I'm an ageing chippy, self employed doing renos, repairs, carports, flooring, the occasional frame, a bit of everything really, whatever pays the bills.
Anyway, nice to be here, I hope I can help a few people and that some folks can help me, we're never too old to learn.

Inner West mate, good old Footscray.
The place has changed beyond recognition, I've been here for 25 years and when we bought the house the area was cheap as chips, now my kids are looking to buy houses and they can't afford a unit or flat around here.
12k from the CBD, plenty of services, traffic half of what's in the East, no toll roads and nice old period homes on good sized blocks, I guess it couldn't stay cheap forever.
