Hi.

Does anyone know where I can buy Behlen's Lacquer repair kits or lacquer sticks or the equivalent locally?

Search results for "lacquer sticks" at Stewart-MacDonald (http://www.stewmac.com/Shopping;jsessionid=81B37F806C8CFC1C3CE1981B33BEC14D?actn=quicksearch&searchtype=all&wildcardType=none&keyword=lacquer+sticks&x=30&y=15)

Thanks,
Rob.

As far as I know there isn't a distributor here - Carbatec were at one stage, and the Garrett Wade stores carried some Behlen stock, but currently?

I'd try Old Mille Cabinet Shoppe (http://www.oldemill.com/) in the States.

Just be careful when selecting your shipping options. http://cdn.woodworkforums.com/images/smilies/blush-anim-cl.gif

Behlen's are part of a large company whose industrial division is Mohawk Finishing. They reckoned they were happy to ship to Aust when asked a few years ago - here's the burn in stick listing from Mohawk. You can make your own with button shellac, pigments and a soldering iron. And an open window. Or lacquer pudding, then touch up over it.
