Twice over the past 12 months going to Adelaide in the truck i have got to the top of the Adelaide hills and there have been 2 people setting up with LUGE ( a one person sled you lay on face up feet first) I think thats what it's called. - This was about 2 or 3 am on a weekday
Then when i was about 1 km down the hill they came past - really quick - with a 4 wd following each person. When i got to the bottom there was no sign of them so obviously they survived.
Dont know if they are training for the olympics but i hope they enjoy it.
Their Motto - "Here for a good time not a long time":2tsup:
I suppose i shouldn't pick on them unless i try it myself should I:no::no::no:
Cheers

I reckon George Carlin got it right...
"lifes journey is not to arrive safely at the grave in a well preserved body
but rather to slide in sideways, totally worn out,
shouting holy $#!t ....what a ride!!!"

Some people do some spectacularly stupid things - great if it comes off but often ends up in tears not just for them but the poor sod coming the other way.
I'm not suggesting bans etc - not into that but I am into taking responsibility for you own actions - by all means do it but do so in a controlled environment where the innocent are protected and the doer can get help if something goes wrong.

I hear what you're saying Bob, but there's folks around ( and I seem to hang around with a bunch of them) that just need to do this stuff. (not exactly THIS stuff)
Their families have just accepted it and a call from the hospital on a sunday afternoon is not unexpected,
Mountain bikers, parachutists, white water canoeists, surfers, paragliders etc etc.
anyways , if our intrepid swiss rollerblade guy was hit by a B double... then no great loss to the gene pool
