Tried to have Engine internet connected before we left Oz, Told it would be 15 days. Bigpond freed the line so should have been no problems. WRONG!!
Son, and a friend of ours both have Power of Attorney to act for us. After more than 2 months of begging and pleading from Both the connection still wasn't done. This included the friend spending a whole day at the house waiting for the connection to be done.
Finally we decide to instruct both son and friend to call and cancel the connection request. Both explained that they had Power of Attorney and that another company had been invited to supply the service.
Engine refused to listen and connected anyway.
Wife contacted Engine from Brasil yesterday, $25 worth of call, and told them to disconnect immediately.
Guess what?The scoundrels are charging $369 for breach of contract!!!!!!!!!
We have filed a complaint with the ombudsman.
