Today is our Thanksgiving holiday. At the traditional feast, the Lap Top was given a place at the table. (Sitting on a couple of phone books and a stool.) The Lap Top was used to support an Internet connection to my son and his family in Portland, Oregon. It was something unique and while it wasn't like having them HERE, it was a different experience.
We used software from Google and my son has a server which was used for the connection. The amazing thing was that there was very little delay but oh the use of bandwidth.

Its great to use technology for the family.
When my son was traveling through Europe we regularly kept in touch via the net :2tsup:

Hey Dad, could you email me a bit of gravy
Technology is wonderful for this. My father lives in QLD, and we have recenly bought him a webcam to use with Skype. It's great for the grand kids to keep in touch with their poppy who they see very rarely. Really has shrunk the world somewhat.
Cheers,
Dave
