Gentleman all,
By a stroke of sheer luck I have been approved by the federal government for the $8K rebate towards a solar system connected to the grid, even though I sent my application in a good week after the closing date was brought forward by Mr Garrett.
I have untill April to have this system installed before the offer expires.
I have been wading through the vast amount of information and dis-information that can be found on the internet.
To be honest it's all a litle confusing, trying to compare different sysyems from different manufactures is like comparing apples and oranges for me.
Of course I'm trying to tread the fine line between cost and quality/efficency.
I'm thinking along the lines of a 1.5 to a 2KW sytem. Reagrdless of the size, I have decided that I will opt for the larger 2KW inverter so that I can upgrade at a later stage.
I have also thought about applying for the 4 year interest free green loan from the government and putting in a 3 to 5KW system......and actually generate a small amount of cash.
So, my questions are
1. Has anyone a recommendation for or against a solar company in Brisbane/Qld
2. Has anyone a recommendation for or against a particuliar brand of equipment
3. Has anyone applied for the green loan
4. Have you any advice for a novice solar system type guy
