I have a series of ventilation slots in a piece of 18mm thick MDF I am painting. They measure 10mm x 200mm.

What is the best way to paint the interior surface of the slots, please?

I am open to any suggestions and ideas

regards,
Dengue

Hi Dengue, 70+ views and not one reply? Too hard basket case??

Why not try the pads that they use with the paint edger tools you get in Bunnies paint department. Cut the rounded grip edges off, tape the smooth back surface of the pad to a block of timber to grip, load it with paint from a roller tray, and away you go. That will fit in a 10mm gap easily. I imagine if you do it carefully enough you won't get too much paint running.

I haven't tried this yet, but looks like the way to go.

Let's know how it goes :)

Jill

If this is plain MDF you are painting....I would paint the intreriour of the slots with a small brush...several coats.....allow to dry well the sand the faces so the build up arround the slots isn't a problem.....unless you are spraying you will need to be carefull you dont get runs in and thru the slots.
