Howdy all,

Hands up those of us with Children who are aged 16 or older?

We had a Centerlink information session at work today to fill us in on how they are going to nail us when we receive our ETP's (Redundancy Packages).
One snippet of info blew me away, 16 year olds can obtain a "Low income Health Care Card" regardless of their parents income! As long as they do not earn over (I think) $250 per week. This means they have access to cheap Chemist subscriptions, Travel etc.! And all this time I've been paying full tote odds for Asthma medication.

So check it out, they gave us the forms, the kids will have to front up and submit them, also they have to prove their identities with 100 points of I.D. Birth certificates, school cards etc.

Hope this benefits some of you as it will me.

The only reason Id have kids would be if I needed some slaves in my workshop.

I'd sell them on the Internet to pay for my tool addiction.

Ian there is a new invention that could help you out, it is called television, it gives you something to do at night before sleeping.
An electric blanket can also reduce the need for snuggling.

Another handy little secret that the DSS or whoever they are keep up their sleeves is Youth Allowance.

A full time student who has earned around $15,000 and is 18 months out of secondary school is not subject to his/her/its parents means testing.

A very handy $9 or $10,000 per annum is the reward for the first 18 months of hard slog.

I know of one young man who has deferred studies to work full time to enable him to qualify for the allowance, and good on him!

Cheers,

P

Ill give you $10 for the lot.

I'll use the 2 strongest looking ones in the workshop and the other 3 I'll palm off to a friend who owns a coal mine.

Actually if any of them are girls, don't be in a hurry to sell.

Eventually they bring home boys, and eventually those testosterone laden creatures are sooo eager to impress they'll, lift, shift, carry, hold, paint, sand or move ANYTHING, while you watch!!!

:D :D :D
Any wonder I have such skinny little limbs, the "wallabies" have been doing all the hard stuff for years!!
