Search problem???

Seems to be a problem with the search function. A search in the cnc forum for VFD does not return any results, you just end up in the advanced search area. I did a 'site' search with google, and got lots of hits, which is what I would expect.

I was logged into www.woodworkforums.com (http://www.woodworkforums.com) at the time, but also used that for the google site search.

Seems to be a limitation in the Search function of VBulletin: Can't handle "words" of only 3 letters. Might need to use the full expression "Variable Frequency Drive."

Sigh.....thanks Joe. Now all I've got to do, is to persuade everyone in the cnc forum to use the full expression. :roflmao:

Yep, vBulletin doesn't like searches for 3 character words or acronyms, ours is not the only forum that has that limitation, any forum using vBulletin has the same limitation.

Your use of a Google site search is the correct way to overcome that limitation.

I often use a Google search in preference to the vBulletin search facility, not just for 3 character words either.
