Can someone recommend a brand of wood filler which matches Tassie Oak well? I tried some of the commonly available ones (Bunnings / K-Mart etc) but they really don't match the Tassie Oak mouldings I've been using at all. Some of them are completely off and closer to Tassie Blackwood.

u can try plastibond and buy oxide colourings and if u can fnd one to match then u can mix different ones.

Haymes Paints stock a water based filler that is a perfect color match

Timbermate's Teak colour is a pretty good 'Tas Oak' match up.

You can mix your own using a close match out of the Cabot's/Timbermate range and a stain, eg. from a set sold by Carrolls Woodcraft. Tassie Oak varies, so it's luck if you get a good match off the shelf.

I like to go darker than the wood since it appears less obvious than lighter, like a sap line perhaps.
