View Full Version : New use for old kitchen bits

G'day all,

My son renovated his kitchen - mainly new tops and doors but the oven tower and some overhead cupboards were being replaced. Too good to toss [and possibly due to the colour nobody would be interested in buying] so with some beefing up these are new additions to the shed for tool stands as well as providing extra storage.

Bottom drawer unit, skeleton added to the outside to allow the drawers to operate as per normal, this is now the stand under the grinders.
Top cupboard, "cut loose" from the tower, turned upside down so that the door handles were now at the top of the unit, this is now the stand under the faceplate sanders.
Large double overhead cupboard cut into 2 units, excess sides from the oven tower provided new tops and this is now part of the wood rack.

Just some thoughts for recycling some kitchen bits.

Regards,
Bob

That is great. It reminds me of the first table saw I had. It was a Makita circular saw mounted under an old kitchen cabinet.

Very well done mate.

You should have put a patent on that, might have been as popular as Triton. :D

Thanks for the comments, hopefully just added to the ideas pile.

"They" are working well and after the "beefing up" should do so for a long time. The price was right but I just can't believe that someone would actually choose [and pay for] that colour.

Bob
