Hi All,
I need some advice please re which timber is best to use around a saltwater below ground pool. I have pavers already around the pool edge and want to add wooden decking surrounding this varying from 700mm to 2mtrs wider. Looking at using approx 330 lineal meters of 90 x 20 grooved wood. I live in Perth and the choice is:
1) clear treated pine approx $2.40 a l/m
2) Batu at $4.40 l/m
3) Jarrah at $6.18 l/m
4) Modwood at $10 l/m
Obviously cost is a factor and the Modwood is exhorbitant. However, I dont want splinters or "bleeding" (if that is the correct word!) and am not sure of the properties of these woods with the potential soaking they will receive in future either. I do have kids who will be running all over it soon!!
Any help or advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Wolvesboy
