I have tried to upload 3 different *.mwv and 1 *.avi files tonight with no success. Is there a problem with the manage attachments facility that the moderators may shed some light on. All attachments were < 10meg, well within the allowable limits.

GJ, can you provide more detail please.

Did you get an error message or was it timing out?

Back again. You're right Noel it is wmv, must be my dyslexia playing up again.

When I try to upload the files the green progress bar fills up in about 30 seconds, then it hangs for about 5 minutes then the error message is displayed. The first error message is from tha avi file and the second one is from the wmv file.

'Puter Guru has been contacted.........but, the problem has been rife for the past week for all Collingwood supporters, and will probably continue until Saturday.

G'day GJ, I've sent a PM to Steven as I think it's a server problem.

So until I/we hear from him, there isn't much we can do.

Will it get worse after we beat Geelong, if so I can't imagine how bad it will be when we win the flag. :D

I didn't watch that movie before uploading it, most stuff from that site isn't G rated :oo: lucky!

anyway you probably guessed the upload issue has been fixed :)

Sorry Steven, still having problems.

There is another wmv file I cannot upload. Not only that but when I try to upload the jpeg of the screen capture it comes up as not a valid image file. I also tried to upload another jpeg with no luck. I'm emailing the files to you, please DON'T upload the proud glasgow mum.wmv file. It is only suitable for the open slather forum

Can you please email it to me? I'll test it in a protected area.

We had a limit of 2MB per file in place, it was overlooked during the server change over last month. Do you still get the same error message?

Really? your error this evening was probably caused by the tmp issue the screwed up the member areas. Anyway, you should be able to upload far larger files than the one you sent me.

cheers
