Its happening again this season, I turned on the TV late in the day just when Flintoff was declared out.
When ever I turn on the TV to watch and Englishman is always out, so please keep me informed of results to avoid this problem. :;

As it happens this year I am on very bad shifts at work. When they are playing I am sleeping. So all I can do is wait for the days results to be published.

Come on Aussie Come on.

Now that is a very old add

You can rest easy now John, your blokes have managed to get one wicket at least so you aren't going to loose your daks. :D

I knew we shouldn't have played a test match in Wales, (I dont think its ever been done before). What do your chaps have for breakfast, curry or something?:;

I have a mix of oats, brand, cashew nuts and sultanas. :)

I think so. We should wait for the final wicket or ball.

Very unsatisfactory, looks like the game is mainly geared towards attendance income instead of the game.
England couldn't bat or bowl yet the game lasted 5 days, smelly.

jimbur

Did the MCC have the batting order upside down?:U
It does show you can't be complacent in cricket.

Another match started after quite a lot of wasted time.

Watching it and thinking what are the Australia's doing. We are supposed to be the best in the world and we are letting balls go?

Sir Stinkalot
31st July 2009, 10:57 PM
I dont know if it is my tv or not but when watching the test on SBS the score is halfway off the bottom of the screen and seems to bob up and down ..... same with last test match .....

Anybody else having the same problem?

Christos
31st July 2009, 11:03 PM
Yeah I get the same thing. I think it is something to do with the signal being analogue or digital. I have an analogue TV, no digital receiver.

So far what a one sided session. If we are not able to come out and bowl as well as the English then we will loose the match in a short time.

Sir Stinkalot
31st July 2009, 11:27 PM
I too have an analogue TV, no digital receiver, so perhaps that is the problem ..... damn frustrating however. I need to log onto the Age Newspaper website to see the scores.

Not off to a good start tonight .... I turned on and the first two balls were wickets .... now the English have had two wickets off two balls in a row for the match so far.

Quite happy however to see Australia finding the going a little tough .... would be good if we could reach common ground and have a well balanced match to keep it interesting.

Another day and it is time for the Aussies to come out with determination and fight to win one match.

I am expecting them to win, so lets get together and wish them well.

particularly now that the games administrators have asked the english crowds to stop being so mean to poor wicky ponting.

Dry weather forecast for day 1.

And the leaders of the BA have been locked up to give the Aussies a sporting chance. :D

I would be really quiet for a while, the Poms are in trouble....deep. Straus should have been out first ball, thankfully out for a solid 3 runs. Poms at 33-2 after 12 overs.

Seriously though, how bad is Bopara? :oo: He has to be one of the poorest number 3 batsmen ever to wander out to the crease. As an Aussie I love him in the English team.

See you,

Anthony

You know, it is now becomming verrrrry quiet in that crowd. Don't panic, they should make it to lunch. :p

Love the cricket.

England's lowest all time score?? All out 87. Polish up the record books.

Jow104.......enjoying your day?? I am.:q

I am so sorry for giving the hex to the English Team.

No I'm not. :)

Sir Stinkalot
8th August 2009, 12:27 AM
All out already for 102 off 34 overs!

Good bowling effort by Australia but if England found the batting difficult Australia may not do much better ...... it will be interesting to see what Australia can do before morning.

Cricket .... just like a long game of chess!

jow104

It must be the weather, its not raining and we have got web feet, its difficult moving actively with those problems.

Luddite
8th August 2009, 08:28 AM
All those wickets in one day. If you are a bowler you have to be happy.

Mitchell Johnson still out of the wickets! 7 overs, 1 for 30. In amongst all those wickets that is poor.

Remember the story about how it was good the wives and girlfriends were on tour??? I wonder if they have made the link with Johnson yet?

Stay happy jow104, there are a couple more innings yet. Anything could happen.

Love the game.

Anthony

I think it was the Aussie secret weapon that caused the problem.

Fire Alarm at 3am at the English teams hotel.

I think there was some poor play from the English team and some good play from the Aussies....., for a change.........

After yesterdays effort I dont blame the english fans for laying a bit low for a while

jow104
9th August 2009, 05:38 PM
Not watching the match because its on Sky subscription channel.

However sports news show snatches and as far as I can see the English bowlers are giving the Aussies easy balls to hit, and the English batsmen are not hitting the balls, only trying to tickle them with the edge of their bats.

I waited for the last ball of the day and stayed up a little later. Good result for the Aussies.

Now it is even in the match wins 1 all. Comes down to the final match.

One more win for the Australian's and they win the Series.

Christos
21st August 2009, 07:59 AM
The start of the fifth test.

I was only going to watch for a short time as I had much to do in the morning. Still do but I checked the result. So far not too bad for the Aussies. Another two more wickets.

England "Trott" to Ashes win, beating Australia by 197 runs at The Oval.

Down to third in the World ranking now. Will be fourth should Sri Lanka beat the Kiwi's this week............

Im more one eyed, I think the Aussie selectors need to stop trying to break their beer drinking records and pay attention to the needs of the game. No spinner, durrrghhh....

Amazing the difference having Flintoff makes, a bit like Warne for Australia. I think he will be sorely missed.
